Time for an update

Oh my, we're not very good at keeping this up to date, are we?  I guess those of you who know us well will know that Gill posts regularly to her Elegant Sufficiency blog, so if there's nothing going on here, it's likely that something is happening there!

Perhaps our main news is that Edward has changed his job - having spent three years in Westminster he was ready for a move and at the beginning of April, he was appointed "stakeholder manager" for Arriva Trains.  Still based in London, he's been out exploring the network and creating a niche for himself.  Clearly the public transport gene has continued into the next generation!

Since our last post, our travels have taken us to the Hudson Valley and Quebec, to Boston, to North Yorkshire, to St Annes and to Tokyo.  Japan has always intrigued and delighted us so we were especially concerned when just two weeks after we returned home, the earthquake struck.  Our Godsons were still there but were, fortunately, ok.

The prompt for an update is the conclusion of a magnificent cruise; almost a month spent in delightful and entertaining company and during which time we celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary.  We have so many tales to tell, stories to share and memories to record that we will undoubtedly bore the socks off everybody we meet in the coming months.  Suffice to say it has been a great trip...one of the best.  Of course, the day-by-day account is there to read at Elegant Sufficiency  as always!

We have tickets in the box...as usual our travels will take us to other, interesting and exciting places soon. How lucky are we?

For now though, we're going to enjoy some time at home, doing what we love best.  We have a celebration planned in July when one of us will celebrate a birthday and are looking forward to a bit of a do to mark the occasion.  In the meantime, drop us an email or leave a comment here - we'd love to hear from you!
